I am an accomplished writer/director, 1st AD, and film editor, with demonstrated skills at all stages of production. As a 1st AD I am confident in preparing and running a film shoot on schedule, working with producers, directors, cinematographers, actors, as well as other department heads to create a cohesive collaborative environment to ensure that a production can be made on budget. As an award winning editor, my films have premiered at Locarno International Film Festival, and SXSW.
Special Skills & Experience
I have collaborated with all departments of any major and minor film and TV production team, including executives, casting, production, and post production. My experience includes the creation and distribution of production materials such as daily preproduction schedules, call sheets, scripts, production reports, and running preproduction meetings. My experience maintaining an operational set includes coordinating complex camera choreography, road closures, blocking actors, managing extras, cast and crew, stunts, special effects, and various technical equipment, while managing the safety and needs of the personnel. With post production workflows, due to my experience in editorial, I can sync sound, create dailies, and work with producers and directors to bring their vision to life on screen. To create compelling films I have collaborated with VFX companies, sound engineers, overseen color correction, and can coordinate final deliverables for theatrical, television, streaming distribution, social media and web platforms. I have advanced editing and sound design skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, and am proficient working with Avid Media Composer and Adobe After effects. Other television experience includes media management and broadcast engineering where I built and maintained post production facilities. After AD-ing and editing several independent feature films, television shows, various short films, music videos, and numerous commercials, I can honestly say that making films is my passion.
