I am a producer located in Grand Rapids, MI who needs to have my hands on at least one project at a time, preferably more. With a background in business, specifically insurance, I am equipped for any obstacle. I enjoy working hand-in-hand with my co-creatives in a productive and enjoyable environment. My preference is to be involved in films that focus on accurate on-screen representation of marginalized individuals, some areas of focus being racial inequities and queer individuals.
Thus far, I have developed and array of skills in film production including but not limited to: scheduling, running a set, finance management, fundraising, casting, location scouting, delegation, improvisation, and much more. I have produced 10 short films from 2020-2021 and am currently working on 2 features and an additional short film, while also working at a local production company, Ingalls Pictures. I have experience in producing narrative and experimental films, music videos, and commercials. I have an extensive background in insurance and business management that gives me countless applicable skills for the business side of producing as well as the experience of working with employees. I have found the proper balance of being respected and effective without being harsh and draining to my teams. My degree in Film and Video Production for Grand Valley State University let me take these skills and focus them in on film.
