Katie is the owner of Mac Worldwide Inc, a casting and development company based out of Los Angeles. With decades of experience in the unscripted world, Katie has become one of the most recognizable and reputable casting names in the business. A seasoned Casting Director and Producer with years of experience across all platforms and genres, she has a proven record of producing casts that springboard into franchises and spinoffs. Currently heavily into the development game with a basket full of talent in various stages of development and pitching. Always looking to add to an existing strong roster of industry relationships for Co-Pros and collaboration.
Her development skills are grounded in true doc-series formats, and she has been singled out for her ability to find compelling characters that have provided direct to series orders, high network ratings, and series franchises, season after season. She has cast some of the most popular and highly-rated reality programs ever produced, ranging from ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ (BRAVO) and 'Extreme Makeover' (ABC), to 'Big Brother' (CBS) and the multi-Emmy award winning ‘Life Below Zero’ for National Geographic.
Her other work has appeared on networks including History Channel, Lifetime, TLC, Discovery, VH1, USA, E!, FOX, CW, Food Network and NBC. She spearheaded casting on OWN’s ‘Lovetown USA’, voted Best Factual Entertainment Format by Frapa/C21 at Mipcom, and MTV’s ‘Yo Momma’, produced by and starring Wilmer Valderrama, a Kids’ Choice Award nominee.
She has worked in live television (The American Music Awards, The Daytime Emmys and QVC) and is experienced in game shows, as well as international production. Katie is a highly sought-after development partner, having teamed up with production companies including Talos Films, Peacock Studios, Joy Factory, TGroup, A&E, The Jay and Tony Show, Sony Pictures Television and BBC Worldwide Productions. She has served on several industry panels and is an active member of The Television Academy, NATPE, NAWBO, and Film Independent.
An NCAA All-American springboard diver, Katie began her career as a celebrity publicist where she gained an extensive background in the corporate, special event, fashion, and performing artist arenas. Among her most notable clients were Nicole Miller, Britney Spears, and Jay Z.
